Busy Day

Maddie had a busy busy day yesterday!

She started by resting up for the busy day ahead...
Then we ran some errands with Grandma Mary. When we were done with that, Aunt Christine called, and we met her at the beach.

After the beach, we went home and got ready for our trip to Citi Field to see the Mets. Citi Field is beautiful, and we had a great time!

Maddie's New Games

Maddie has been playing some new games with us lately. If we put the throw pillows from the couch on the floor, she will lay on them and sometimes cuddle with them. Other times, she rolls from pillow to pillow like its a big bouncy gym for her.


She also has started sharing with us. She will put food in our mouths, or bring toys to us and hand them to us. Tonight, Brian was sitting on the couch, and she kept bringing him her bottle, and drinking it while she was standing by where he was sitting. But she wanted him to hold it for her. Then she would stop, he would put the bottle down, and she would hand it to him again so he would feed it to her again.


She also has started making a hissy/snorty face that you can help but laugh when she does it to you, which only encourages her to continue....

An afternoon in the yard

Lizzy came over today, and we sat out on the back deck and played... The girls had fun :-)

Day-cation

We're not going away anywhere this year, so we decided to do a few day trips. Yesterday we went the the aquarium in Riverhead. I thought Maddie might not "get" the whole thing, but she loved it! She didn't want to stay in her stroller, she wanted to be right next to all of the tanks. She loved the touch tanks, where she could actually put her hands in the water and feel the fish and critters. When she's a little older, there's even more for her to do. It was lots of fun!!!

Beach Girl/Beastie Girl

So, here's a first start at blogging...

Maddie and I went to the beach today with our friends Jen and Chloe. Chloe is about 6 months older than Maddie. It was really cute to see them noticing each other. We went to Tanner Park, and played at the spray park area and then in the sand. Moneque and Aedan also joined us, but we didn't get any pictures of them.


After the beach, we were playing around the house, and Maddie showed us her new favorite way to move her toys around...She's our beastie girl...
